Collaborative Care for Eating Disorders

Working with both a psychotherapist and registered dietitian for the treatment of eating disorders gives you the opportunity to experience holistic well-being in your recovery.

All of our eating disorder practitioners have multiple years of experience working in the field at higher levels of care prior to venturing into outpatient work. They witness the recovery process in hundreds of individuals, from diagnosis through discharge, which positions them to be able to provide educated recommendations to individual treatment needs. They specialize in working with anyone who is seeking peace with food and their body, struggling with an eating disorder, body dysmorphia, poor body image, chronic/yo-yo dieting, or feelings of loss of control over body or food.

Psychotherapists

Individual sessions with Lindsey, Leah, or Megan will offer an opportunity to discuss and process how your relationship with food and your body is impacting your life. These discussions could be literal interventions to shift how you think about food or your body, or dive deeper into exploration of self-compassion and self-healing. As you begin to explore how to navigate a new relationship with food and your body, you can expect to become more attuned to your needs both individually and with how you interact in your world.

Registered Dietitians

Sam and Mary are both experienced eating disorder dietitians who work from the Health At Every Size approach. They will work with you to heal your damaged relationship with food and find positive nutrition and movement practices that honor your body’s needs and abilities, while closely collaborating with the rest of your care team which may include our psychotherapists.

Mary worked for 5 years at inpatient, PHP, and IOP levels of care prior to starting her outpatient career. She has received extensive training in the eating disorder field and is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

Sam has 3 years of behavioral health experience working at all levels of care. She has worked primarily with adolescents and adults at the inpatient and residential levels of care. Sam is an active member of the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and is working on her Certified Eating Disorder Specialty (CEDS) certification.
