Elle Word: Authentic
See Katie’s blogsWho inspires me:
I will forever be inspired by Baba Hari Dass’s words: “The world is not a burden. We make it a burden by our duties, responsibilities and fears.” We must make peace with these aspects in order to find peace within our self. Baba was a silent monk for over 70 years and this wisdom was introduced to me 11 years ago and since has cleaned-up relationships, supported me through career changes and continues to be a daily trial of what’s worth my time. It also set the tone to support two natural and healthy births and even how I interact with my children today. This thought process enhances one’s authentic self, so I offer this inspiration to you. Simple words. Never spoken, only felt.

Specialty:
Katie brings a strong clinical focus to her work in fertility, prenatal, birth, and postnatal care, with particular expertise in reproductive and perinatal mental health. She is a graduate student in psychotherapy with a somatic specialty and has extensive training in body-based, evidence-informed approaches to support nervous system regulation, trauma processing, and emotional integration across the reproductive lifespan. Her background includes clinical applications of hypnosis for labor and delivery, as well as formal training as a full-spectrum doula and childbirth educator. Katie’s therapeutic work is informed by over two decades of experience in yoga and meditation, which she integrates through a clinical, somatic lens rather than a wellness framework.
Approach:
Katie’s approach is trauma-informed, existential, feminist, and integrative, drawing from mindfulness-based CBT and somatic psychotherapy. Her work is individualized and responsive to each client’s unique history, goals, and nervous system patterns. Using evidence-informed somatic practices and techniques, Katie supports clients in developing increased awareness of physiological responses and internal cues. This body-based awareness strengthens emotional regulation, resilience, and self-efficacy, creating a foundation for deeper therapeutic work and sustainable change. Katie also works with partners of all genders, supporting those navigating the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that accompany fertility issues, pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood.
